Turn Deliverability Alerts
Into Jira Tickets

Route ValidPeak blacklist events, DMARC failures, and warmup drops directly into Jira. Track, assign, and resolve email deliverability incidents using your existing project management workflow.

What you can do

Blacklist incident tracking

ValidPeak monitors 200+ blacklists and sends an alert within 60 seconds of any detection. Route that alert to Jira and auto-create an incident ticket with the affected domain/IP, blacklist name, and delisting instructions.

DMARC failure workflow

When ValidPeak detects DMARC authentication failures or unauthorized senders, route the alert to Jira as a story for the infrastructure or security team. Track investigation and resolution in your standard sprint workflow.

Deliverability incident management

Use Jira to assign, prioritize, and resolve email deliverability incidents the same way you handle engineering bugs. Full audit trail, status tracking, and team accountability — no separate incident tool needed.

How it works

1

Configure a ValidPeak webhook

In ValidPeak, go to Settings → Notifications → Webhooks. Add a new webhook endpoint URL (your Zapier webhook, Make webhook, or custom handler) and select which event types should trigger it.

2

Set up your Jira connector

In Zapier or Make, connect Jira using your Jira API token, domain, and email. Choose 'Create Issue' as the action and configure the project key, issue type, and priority.

3

Map ValidPeak alert fields to Jira fields

Map the webhook payload fields from ValidPeak to Jira issue fields: event type → issue title, affected domain/IP → description, severity → priority, timestamp → due date.

4

Test with a live alert

Use ValidPeak's test webhook feature to send a sample payload. Confirm the Jira issue is created with the correct fields, assignee, and priority before going live.

Frequently asked questions

Does ValidPeak have a native Jira integration?

ValidPeak sends webhook alerts when events like blacklist detection or DMARC failure occur. Connect those webhooks to Jira via Zapier, Make, or a custom webhook handler that calls the Jira REST API to create or update issues.

Which ValidPeak events can trigger Jira ticket creation?

You can trigger Jira issues from: blacklist detection (IP or domain added to any of 200+ monitored lists), DMARC failure alerts (unauthorized sender or SPF/DKIM misalignment), domain warmup score drops below a set threshold, and bulk validation completion (useful for post-import hygiene workflows).

Can I assign Jira tickets to specific team members based on alert type?

Yes. Configure separate webhook endpoints or Zapier paths per alert type, then map each to the appropriate Jira assignee and project. For example, blacklist events → ops team, DMARC failures → security/infrastructure team.

Does this integration require a Jira API token?

Yes. To create Jira issues programmatically, you need a Jira API token (available from your Atlassian account settings), your Jira Cloud domain, and a user email address. These are used to authenticate requests to the Jira REST API from Zapier, Make, or your custom webhook handler.
