Validate Your Mailchimp
List Before Every Send

Export, validate, reimport. ValidPeak removes invalid, disposable, and risky addresses from your Mailchimp audience before they generate hard bounces and damage your sender reputation.

What you can do

Pre-campaign list cleaning

Export your Mailchimp audience, run it through ValidPeak's 25+ verification layers, and reimport only deliverable addresses. Removes invalid, disposable, role-based, and spam-trap addresses before they damage your campaign metrics.

Bounce rate reduction

Gmail and Mailchimp both penalize high bounce rates. Hard bounces above 2% trigger Mailchimp account reviews; above 5% risk account suspension. ValidPeak removes the addresses responsible before they bounce.

Import hygiene

Every time you import contacts from a trade show, lead magnet, or CRM sync, run the list through ValidPeak first. Prevents invalid addresses from ever entering your Mailchimp audience.

How it works

1

Export your Mailchimp audience

In Mailchimp, go to Audience → All contacts → Export Audience. Download the CSV file.

2

Upload to ValidPeak Bulk Validation

Upload the CSV to ValidPeak. The 25-layer verification engine checks each address for validity, risk, disposable domains, role-based patterns, and spam traps.

3

Download categorized results

ValidPeak returns a CSV with each address tagged valid, risky, or invalid — along with the specific reason (syntax error, SMTP failure, disposable domain, etc.).

4

Re-import the clean list

Upload only the valid addresses back to Mailchimp. Archive or unsubscribe contacts tagged invalid. Optionally segment risky addresses for a separate low-volume test.

Frequently asked questions

Does ValidPeak integrate directly with Mailchimp?

The primary workflow is a CSV export/import cycle: export your Mailchimp audience, validate in ValidPeak Bulk Validation, then re-import only clean addresses. For automated real-time validation on signup forms, you can use the ValidPeak API or connect via Zapier or Make.

Why should I validate my Mailchimp audience before sending?

Mailchimp monitors bounce rates per account. A hard bounce rate above 2% triggers account reviews; sustained rates above 5% can cause suspension. Email addresses decay at roughly 22% per year, meaning an unvalidated list from 12 months ago may contain 1 in 5 undeliverable addresses. Cleaning before campaigns protects your Mailchimp account standing and inbox placement.

How often should I clean my Mailchimp list?

At minimum, validate before any major campaign send and after every large import of new contacts. For active lists, a quarterly audit is sufficient. For purchased or aged lists, validate before the very first send.

Will ValidPeak delete my entire list?

No. ValidPeak categorizes each address as valid, risky, or invalid and returns results in a CSV. You decide which categories to remove. Most teams remove invalid addresses immediately and make a judgment call on risky (catch-all) ones based on their risk tolerance.
